Huge 15kg bag of Eukanuba senior. My dogs love is10 years old now and has been on a senior dog food for a few years already. I used to feel my dogs Eukanuba many years ago but had stopped when it was sold to Mars in 2014. I thought it was worth revisiting it and I had previously been happy with it. The ingredients and meat quantity seems good and there are quality ingredients to help with teeth, mobility, skin and immunity. My dog loves it and it’s good to know he’s eating something that is a little extra that just something to fill him up. A bag this size is more economical than buying a smaller one.

Great value for what is a 15g bag. Our dog very much likes this as an older dog, and great it's completed food as she only likes kibble these days. Very good quality ingredients and great for her overall health and wellbeing.

We got this for our 16 year old collie crossbreed. He's still active for his age and walks 4 to 5 miles every day and so always has a very healthy appetite. We tried gradually introducing this into his diet over 2 to 3 weeks but although he was happy to eat it the side effects were not pleasant and he had a stomach upset the entire time and twice we got up to find a big mess in the hallway and the kitchen. After the second time we stopped trying to introduce this even though by that point it still only composed less than a third of his diet. A few days after we put him back to a 100% of his regular food his stomach had settled down and he was fine again so I can't recommend.

I have been feeding my German Shepherd Eukanuba Fresh Chicken for two weeks now. Firstly, and most importantly, he really enjoys it and eats every scrap - he didn’t do this with his previous food, he always left pieces in the bottom of his bowl. His coat is lovely and shiny and he is more eager to jump into the car now, he was tending to hesitate a bit and sometimes needed a run at it. This food also seems to suit his stomach well with firm stools and no upsets. We are both very happy, and will continue to use this food.

This was for a friend’s older large breed, who needed something a bit gentler than standard adult food. The kibble size is well suited for big dogs, and it doesn’t crumble into dust at the bottom of the bag, which is always nice. The resealable top also keeps things fresh, which makes storage simpler. The dog seems to be doing well on it – steady energy, glossy coat, and no upset stomach, so it’s clearly balanced properly for senior needs. The fact that it’s based on chicken keeps it familiar and palatable, which can be important when older dogs start getting a bit fussier with food. On the downside, the bag is heavy and a bit awkward to move around once opened. It’s also a bit pricey compared to some other senior dog foods, so you do notice the cost. Still, the quality feels high, and it does its job well for large and giant breeds entering their senior years. A solid, reliable choice if you don’t mind spending a bit more for peace of mind.

We usually buy a different Premium brand dry dog food. However, we thought we would try the Eukanuba brand of dog food as it usually gets good reviews and we couldn’t get our usual brand. Our Labrador isn’t that picky with regards to dry dog food so you really didn’t have too much of a problem with him finishing a whole bowl. However, the proof of how it went down with his digestive system was apparently the next day as he tends to have rather loose stools . Thankfully his stools were firm and things seem to be looking good for the new food. Unlike some dog foods this dry foods smells relatively meaty although still smells a little farm yard like . I was hoping for a slightly cleaner odour but it doesn’t seem to bother the dog Value wise it is a little expensive at £59 at time of review but there is a 25% voucher at the moment making it less expensive than our local pet supermarket . The nutrition values look to be good with a protein value of 26% although the fats are maybe a little high at 13% especially for a non working or senior animal
